GUIDELINES
The goal of the Bulletin Contest is to move our clubs towards “Newspaper” style Bulletin. While there are only minor changes in the “Content” section of bulletin, there are numerous additional or bonus points available in the Mast Heading, Mechanics, Personnel and the General sections of your bulletin.
Additionally, the use of Domain Level Email (docjones@yourlionsclub.org) by your leadership corp. will help move your club recognition forward within your community and reinforce your “brand” name (www.yourlionsclub.org) as you expand your email address lists through the mailings of your weekly/by-weekly bulletin. All your guests, speakers, and your local newspaper should receive a copy of your bulletin.
Businesses/non-profits all use a “Branded” email server to help promote and establish their brand in the marketplace. Those clubs that use them are, in fact, helping promote those branded email servers and not their respective Lions Clubs’ Brand Name.
Whether or not you submit your bulletin for evaluation in the District Bulletin Contest, you have a more important role in upgrading and moving your bulletin through your community. In effect, is your bulletin a reader and designed to help increase Lions awareness in the community or is it a “throw-away” and of little value?
